History
Henry
A. Molony Jr. purchased the Charleston Board of Trade in 1931.
Molony turned the Board of Trade into Charleston’s first
credit bureau, eventually becoming an affiliate of Equifax.
Henry’s youngest son, David A. Molony started the Credit
Adjustment Bureau in 1955 out of a need for a full service
collection agency to assist area businesses. The tradition
continues today with his son Kelly Molony, who as president
of CAB has garnered national recognition with the International
Fellowship of Certified Collectors Award. He lectures to students
and credit management groups, and also makes appearances on
television and radio shows discussing credit and collections.
From
his grandfather who started the Credit Bureau of Greater
Charleston
in the 1930's, to Kelly, a leader for the new century, the
longstanding reputation established by the Molony family
is
one of reliability and know-how. CAB has demonstrated time
and again that we can be trusted to handle not only customer
accounts, but even more important matters, such as community
perception and reputation. With our expert staff and experienced
leadership, its progressive computerized technology, and
dedication to the philosophy of integrity and client satisfaction,
CAB
offers the complete A/R service package.
